DigInfo - http://movie.diginfo.tv - As the demand for the true home cinema experience increases, JVC have developed a 110 inch rear projection TV. The D-ILA (Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier) element uses Liquid Crystal on Silicon technology. This method prevents colour breaking, often found in DLP screens and drastically reduces the pixelation, or 'screen door' effect seen in conventional LCD projectors. The size of the screen is equivalent to nine 37" LCD screens however its electricity consumption is the same as one LCD screen. JVC plan to use this technology in their projection systems for next generation cinemas.
