We can assure you, nothing will happen. In addition, you seem to be labouring under the misapprehension that America "saved" Britain in World War 2 by sacrificing men. This is not the case. The total number of American casualties in the Second World War amounted to less than 1% of all fatalities. Without the UK holding the Germans back on the African front and Russia holding them back on the Eastern front, you would've had no D-Day landing to send your troops to.
