Stavely Carnival 2008 Long Version

Stavely Carnival 2008 as they are passing the station. Can anyone spot Drummergirll? This is a community project run biannually. 2 months prior to the carnival weekend - the workshops start- run by enthusiastic members of the community - anything from drumming, to singing and dancing, costume making and more! of course the planning for this event starts much sooner- and i personally thank everybody who did all the organizing for it the purpose of it?? to bring the community together, to promote Staveley village, and most of all - to enjoy ourselves and put on a good show for everybody else to enjoy aswell! the carnival is also a good promotion to recycling and being green - as you can see by watching this parade - it is completley emission free (apart from the police car at the back - which was necessary!) the costumes are all made by recycling material and at the main field there was a big recycling center for everybodies trash... and the field was kept clean because everybody there used the bins. it was a great weekend! - the only thing i dont like about it is the fact its biannual! - me thinks it should be every year :D
